-- A 16-YEAR-OLD MILTON BOY was referred to juvenile authorities for burglary, theft and criminal damage to property. The arrest was linked to a burglary at 3 a.m. Sunday at Arndt's Mini Mart, 423 Parkview Drive, Milton. In the burglary, a boy was captured on a surveillance camera throwing a metal trash can through a window at the store. He reportedly took six packs of cigarettes.

Intoxicated driving arrests

-- IAN T. MAHUN, 26, of 567 Prestige Court, Edgerton, at 2:32 a.m. Saturday along Highway 51, Fulton Township. Also ticketed for speeding.


-- BURGLARY reported at 3:20 p.m. Monday to a home in the 3100 block of Midvale Drive, Janesville. Reported stolen was jewelry with a total value of $1,050.

-- OPERATING A VEHICLE WITHOUT OWNER'S CONSENT, reported at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 800 block of McKinley Street, Janesville. A 2002 silver Buick valued at $2,700 was reported taken.


-- FREMONT AND HOLMES STREETS, Janesville. At 7:40 a.m. Monday, a pickup truck driven by Timothy A. Shortreed, 43, of 1105 E. Racine St., Janesville, and a car driven by Genie Gottula, 61, of 141 Hillside Court, Janesville, collided in the intersection. Gottula's passenger, Hailey R. Edmonds, 10, of 141 Hillside Court, Janesville, was taken to Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center, but her condition wasn't released Wednesday because she is a minor.

-- HIGHWAY 59 EAST OF UNION ROAD, Union Township, at 5:01 a.m. Tuesday, a sport utility vehicle driven by Michael T. Griffin, 28, Freeport, Ill., went off the road and struck a utility pole. Griffin was ticketed for driving too fast for conditions. Griffin was taken to a local hospital, but his condition Wednesday was unknown.

-- COUNTY H SOUTH OF MINERAL POINT ROAD, Center Township. At 2:06 p.m. Feb. 3, a car driven by Barbara A. Lund, 59, of 613 E. Fulton St., Edgerton, went off the road and hit a utility pole. Lund was ticketed for driving too fast for conditions. Lund was treated and released from Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center.
