Clinton interviewing administrator finalists

— The Clinton Village Board will meet Saturday in a special closed session to interview finalists for the village administrator position.

The board will meet at 7:45 a.m. Saturday at Clinton Village Hall, 301 Cross St.

The village is seeking to replace Phillip Rath, who left the village to become administrator for the city of Monroe.

The board on Jan. 31 chose four finalists, interim Clerk Jennifer Scheiffer wrote in an e-mail to the Gazette.

The finalists are:

-- Rick Goeckner of Cedarburg—Goeckner most recently held the position of director of administrative services for the city of Effingham, Ill. The job included working as the deputy clerk and human resources director.

-- Michael Hawes of Shorewood—Hawes works as special project coordinator for the village of Shorewood.

-- Brett Klein of Hillsboro—Klein works as city administrator in Hillsboro.

-- J. Everett Mitchell of Hortonville—Mitchell was most recently village administrator in Hortonville.
