The Rock County Public Works Director says he's concerned about an increasingly hazardous situation on area roads.

Ben Coopman says too many property owners are pushing snow from their driveways out into the right-of-way. Coopman says this creates a dangerous situation, particularly when temperatures warm and then refreeze, turning the snow into rock-like objects.

Coopman warns residents the practice of pushing snow into the street is illegal, and they could be held liable for any injuries or accidents.
