— Jamie Jones of RiversEdge Bowl knew something big could happen when he heard Herb Kimple, Randy Wason, Brian Angileri, Mark Mansur and Jerry McCarthy were a team in the Stokes Pub League on Tuesdays.

“I knew with these guys together it would be scary,” Jones said.

The five-man team didn’t scare anybody last Tuesday, but they did combine to raise eyebrows after posting an all-time city high team series of 3,723. The team topped the 3,670 series rolled by Jim Stubbendick, Rob Heaslip, Rick Lewin, Tim Brickson and Steve Tabbert for T & D Builders on Jan. 24, 2005 at RiversEdge.

Angileri rolled an 813 and Mansur an 804 for the 12th and 13th 800 series marked at RiversEdge this season. Kimple added a 706, Wason posted a 705 and McCarthy rolled a 695 bowling for TriMark Dental.
