DELAVAN TOWNSHIP Volunteers are needed to help manage the Canada goose population around Delavan Lake.
The town of Delavan and Lakeland Animal Shelter are making a joint effort to create a goose-management plan.
Representatives from the Humane Society of the United States will visit sites in Delavan Township that typically experience large goose populations, according to a news release from the town. Residents can request an inspection of their properties by calling the town clerk at (262) 728-3471 or the shelter at (262) 723-1000.
Volunteers will be needed for egg addling or oiling. Training will be held in February, although the date has not been announced.
