Lake Geneva Badger held off Delavan-Darien to win a Southern Lakes Conference girls basketball game, 41-38, Friday night.


The visiting Comets trailed 22-15 at the half, but got within 30-29 entering the fourth quarter.


Badger held on, thanks to four points each by Karina Reeves and and Lana Weisman in the final quarter. Reeves finished with 12 points and Weisman 11.


The Comets’ Alana Cesarz, who is going to UNLV next year on a basketball scholarship, was held to eight points, nearly 15 points less than her average. Ashley O’Neil scored 13 points for Delavan-Darien.
