Lakeside wins key game

The Lakeside Lutheran boys basketball team got the upperhand Thursday night in a battle of Capitol Conference leaders.


Jake Jarnigo scored 19 points to lead the Warriors to a 66-51 win over Cambridge.


Lakeside, which leads the Capitol North, improved to 13-1 overall. The Warriors had a 22-9 lead after one quarter.

Senior forward Michael Hopfinger scored 13 points to lead Hustisford to a 57-46 Trailways South Conference victory Thursday night.


Nate Crement had 10 points in the first half for Williams Bay, but Hustisford hit six three-point baskets to take an 8-point halftime lead.
