— Osseo-Fairchild's girls basketball team was undefeated coming into the championship game of the La Crosse Logan Holiday Tournament.

Janesville Parker quickly put an end to that.

The 10th-ranked Vikings raced out to a 15-point lead after one quarter and coasted to a 63-33 victory.

Parker (7-2) allowed only 59 points in two games in winning the tournament title.

"We played much harder today, and really passed the ball around with more confidence," Parker assistant coach Jennah Hartwig said. "By making the extra pass, we got a lot of easy baskets.

"And because we attacked the basket so well the first quarter, we got to the free-throw line and built up a nice lead right away."

Senior Julia Dement had 12 points to lead three Vikings in double figures. Juniors Dani Fugate and Ashley Hartwig added 11 and 10 points, respectively.

The Vikings led 18-3 after one quarter and pushed the margin to 32-12 by half.

Osseo-Fairchild (6-1) was led by 6-foot junior center Jessica Pralle, who led all scorers with 13.

Parker, which is in a three-way tie for first place in the Big Eight at 4-1, plays at Verona (4-2, 3-2) in a conference game on Jan. 5.
