UW-Rock County Rattlers win behind Condon
JANESVILLE John Condon scored 19 points, including a dunk after a steal to seal UW-Rock County’s 65-59 victory Monday over UW-Baraboo in Wisconsin Collegiate Conference men’s basketball.
With 14 seconds remaining, Condon stole the ball at half court and drove in for the dunk to put UW-Rock ahead for good, 61-59. Condon and Josh Conway, who finished with 17 points, each added free throws to ensure the victory.
The Rattlers had to close a pair of 11-point deficits in the second half and won despite missing 11 free throws in the second half.
“We were fortunate that Baraboo missed its free throws, too,” Rock County coach Scott Lee said.
The Rattlers are off until Jan. 4 when they host UW-Waukesha.
