-- KIMBERLY J. ANDERSON, 27, of 215 S. High St., Janesville, and JAVARIS L. HEWLETT, 26, of 624 Caroline St., Janesville, at 11 p.m. Sunday at Kmart, 2233 Humes Road, Janesville. Anderson was arrested on charges of manufacturing or delivering marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and maintaining a drug trafficking place. Hewlett was arrested on two counts of manufacturing or delivering cocaine, two counts of manufacturing or delivering marijuana and possession of cocaine near certain places such as schools or parks.

-- MELVIN T. FIELDS, 26, of 1601 N. Randall Ave., Janesville, at 10:30 p.m. Friday at home on a charge of child neglect.

Intoxicated driving arrests

-- KENNETH C. HEREFORD, 23, of 20 S. Pontiac Drive, No. 108, Janesville, after the car he was driving hit a parked car. Hereford also was cited for hit and run/unattended vehicle because he allegedly left the scene on foot. Hereford was transported for medical treatment.

-- D0UGLAS C. TUESCHER, 39, of 4430 Ashbury Drive, Milton, at 4:37 p.m. Sunday at Crosby Avenue and Johnson Street, Janesville.

-- ALLEN M. STUVE, 34, of 854 Oak St., Beloit, at 1:41 a.m. Sunday at Center Avenue and State Street, Janesville.


-- STRANGULATION at 9 a.m. Saturday in the 2400 block of Hawaii Drive, Janesville. A woman said a man who was staying with her attacked her. She left the residence and later received a text message saying that if she did not return, the cords to her appliances would be cut. She found them cut when she returned, and thatís when she decided to call police, who were still looking for the assailant Monday.

-- CAR THEFT at 1:15 a.m. Sunday in the 200 block of North Main Street, Janesville. A Beloit man allegedly took a red 2000 Kia Sephia that was later recovered in Beloit Township.

-- BURGLARY at 7:17 a.m. Wednesday at Bobbleheads Sports Bar and Grill, 2709 Highway 51, Janesville. Reported stolen was $729 from video gambling machines.


-- COUNTY A AT COUNTY M in Johnstown Township. At 2:14 p.m. Saturday, Richard G. Benner, 75, of 2016 Woodruff Blvd., Janesville, was stopped at the eastbound stop sign on County M at County A. A car driven by Clara E. Preece, 67, of 4216 Valencia Drive, Janesville, also was eastbound and failed to stop. Her car rear-ended Bennerís sport utility vehicle. Two occupants in Bennerís vehicle were transported to a local hospital for services: Joan M. Benner, 80, of 2016 Woodruff Blvd., and Nikkie M. McCarthy, 15, of 1710 Osborne Ave., Janesville. Preece was cited for inattentive driving.

-- HIGHWAY 81 EAST OF COUNTY K in Newark Township. At 5:56 p.m. Dec. 4, Valdeta Mecollari, 38, of 1051 Wuthering Hills Drive, Janesville, was driving east on Highway 81 when she swerved into the westbound lane to miss a dead deer. She tried to veer back into the easbound lane but overcorrected, slid across the highway and rolled into the south ditch. A 2-year old child was transported to a local hospital with injuries.

-- COUNTY K NORTH OF SKINNER ROAD in Newark Township. At 7:49 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, Amy L. Casique, 35, of 12402 W. Highway 81, Beloit, was driving north on County K when she swerved into the southbound ditch to avoid a deer. She struck a culvert in the west ditch. Her car flew 44 feet and then rolled to a stop in the southbound lane. Casique was transported to Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center, Janesville, where she was admitted and was in good condition Monday afternoon. She was cited for failure to have control of her vehicle.
