— Connor McBride saved the weekend for the Janesville Jets.

Following back-to-back losses to start the three-game series with first-place St. Louis, Janesville bounced back with a 3-2 win Sunday at the Janesville Ice Arena thanks to McBride’s overtime goal.

Janesville trailed 2-0 in the first period before Truman Landowski scored at 18:02 of the first to cut the lead to 2-1. The Jets tied the game in the second on Adam Frank’s goal at 17:19.

McBride picked up the game-winner with only 44 seconds left in overtime on an assist from Jeff Paczynski, his second of the game.

Janesville goalie Brock Kautz stopped 17 shots to pick up the win.

The Jets play at Chicago next weekend in a three-game series.
