— Janesville police continue to investigate a large number of stolen items recovered after two adults were arrested and one teen referred to juvenile authorities in connection with a Thursday morning burglary on the city’s south side.

“It’s really hard to put into words when you’re looking at all this property,” said Lt. Tim Hiers of the amount of property recovered after two search warrants were executed Thursday.

Joseph L. Jordan III, 21, of 1203 Beloit Ave., Janesville, was charged Thursday with burglary and theft. His bail was set at $500 in Rock County Court.

Caleb R. Jensen, 17, of 376 Swan Lane, Janesville, was charged with receiving stolen property, and his bail was set at $250. A 14-year-old Janesville male was referred to juvenile authorities on charges of burglary and felony theft.

Police said they were investigating a burglary at a home Wednesday in the 1200 block of Beloit Avenue when they saw Jordan walking up the street carrying some of the items reported stolen.

More charges could come if police can identify the owners of the handguns, jewelry, electronics, and collectibles recovered Thursday. Jordan, Jensen and the teen could be tied to recent burglaries at storage units on the city’s south side, Lt. Tim Hiers said.
