Jordann Herrling scored two goals to lead Middleton to a 3-2 win over the Rock County Fury in high school girls hockey action Tuesday.

Rock County (2-4) trailed 3-0 after two periods but rallied with two goals in the third. Chelsea Gusk and Katie Maegli scored for the Fury.

“You can’t give the puck away in your own end, but that’s exactly what we did on all three of their goals,” Rock County coach Darrel Moore said. “Other than that, it was a game where we had a chance to win.

“Kaitlyn (O’Rourke) did a great job for us and deserved the win.”

O’Rourke made 21 saves, while Middleton goalie Hunter Kurbel finished with 23.

Rock County hosts Stoughton on Thursday in Beloit.
