Janesville kindergarten enrollment scheduled

— Kindergarten enrollment for children entering the Janesville School District in fall 2012 is set for Dec. 5-16.

Children enrolled in a Pre-School for Janesville (P4J) or the district's Early Childhood program do not need to re-enroll.

All students should enroll at the New Student Enrollment Office of the Educational Services Center, 527 S. Franklin St.

Children must be 5 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2012, to be eligible to enter kindergarten during the 2012-13 school year.

Times for kindergarten enrollment at the New Student Enrollment Office will be 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays during the weeks of Dec. 5-9 and Dec. 12-16.

To enroll kindergarten students, parents or guardians should bring a birth certificate, immunization record, a parent/guardian photo identification and proof of residency, which could be a copy of lease or purchase agreement or the top portion of a utility bill. No computer printouts.
