Mercy Health System is making another bid to build a new facility in Crystal Lake, Ill.

In June, the Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board rejected Mercy's proposal for a 128-bed, $200 million hospital, but now Mercy is coming back with a scaled-back plan.

A health industry website says Mercy is now seeking approval for a 70-bed, $115 million hospital. A public hearing is scheduled for October, but the Illinois review board has already deemed its intent to deny for the project.
