Janesville Craig’s girls tennis team got back to the .500 mark in the Big Eight Conference on Tuesday.

Thanks to a sweep in doubles, the Cougars coasted past Beloit Memorial, 5-2.

“It was a good effort from the whole team,” Craig coach Bill Peyer said. “It’s the kind of match that we should have won, and we came out and took care of business.”

Brooke Negus and Sarah Gray won in straight sets at No. 1 doubles, while Brandie Farrell and Ashley Johnson did the same at No. 2. Kenzie Trappe and Hayley Hughes made it a sweep in doubles with a win at No. 3. Kaylee Rossing and Leah Voskuil won for the Cougars at No. 2 and No. 4 singles, respectively.
