Glarner Knights sting Edgerton; Evansville, East Troy, Lakeside, Jefferson win

Spencer Jones ran 17 yards for a touchdown with 48 seconds left to lift New Glarus/Monticello to a 20-13 victory over visiting Edgerton High in a nonconference football Friday night.


Edgerton took a 13-12 lead with just less than three minutes to go when Lucas Gregory caught a 3-yard pass from Collin Gregory. A two-point conversion attempt failed.


Glarner Knight quarterback Lukas Kolasch ran 38 yards to help set up Jones’ winning run. Kolasch hit Jim Chenoweth with a two-point conversion pass after Jones’ TD.


Lucas Gregory gave Edgerton a 7-6 lead when he caught a 33-yard pass from Collin Gregory and Tyler Oren added the conversion kick in the second quarter.


Kolasch finished with 71 yards rushing on nine attempts, while Jones had 82 on 11.

n Evansville 42, Union Grove 7—Dalton Sendelbach scored the first three touchdowns as Evansville rolled to 35-0 lead at Union Grove and went 2-0 for the season in nonference play.


The Blue Devils drove 54 yards on their first posssession, with Sendelbach scoring on 1-yard run. He followed with 3- and 7-yard touchdown runs and finished the night with 22 rushing attempts for 121 yards.


Evansville had 247 yards on the ground and passed for 140 in rolling up 387 yards of total offense, while dropping Union Grove to 0-2 for the season.

The first of Keller’s two touchdowns gave Jefferson a 21-14 lead. Keller gained 123 yards on 21 carries.
