Janesville Police Chief Dave Moore is waiting for the state to pay for services rendered.

Moore says Janesville officers responded when requested to help with security during protests earlier this year at the Capital. Moore says the bill totals $55,000. He says this could impact the budget if the state doesn't pay by the end of the year. He says he's been assured payment will be made, but he's still waiting for the check.

The chief adds the City of Janesville tends to pay its bills more promptly.
