— If the City of Janesville prohibits concealed weapons from city property, the city might not be protected from liability for doing do.

Assistant city attorney Tim Wellnitz says the new state concealed carry law protects businesses and municipalities from liability, but it's not clear what happens if a municipality decides to prohibit concealed weapons on city property.

The city council will take up the issue again at its Oct. 10th meeting.
