Bees pitchers combine to shut out Beloit Snappers

— The Beloit Snappers suffered a 3-0 loss Sunday to the Burlington Bees in Midwest League baseball.

Three Bees pitchers combined on the six-hit shutout. Jose Macias (5-3) allowed the Snappers five hits through seven innings and notched five strikeouts for the victory.


Burlington scored all three of its runs—one earned—in the fifth inning. A.J. Achter (3-6) allowed four hits, walked three and struck out seven in taking the loss.
