— Residents this month will get a chance to learn and speak publicly about changes to Rock County's land-division regulations.

The county's planning and development committee as well as the planning and development agency will host an informal open house and a public hearing about the updates.

The open house will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17, and the hearing will be at 8 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 25.

Both events will be held in the conference center, room 250, at the Rock County Courthouse, 51 S. Main St., Janesville.

The agency uses the regulations to guide the land division in the county and has been updating the regulations for 18 months. After the hearing, the planning committee could vote to recommend the county board adopt the updated regulations.

A draft copy of the updated regulations is available at www.co.rock.wi.us. Hard copies are available at the agency office.
