— Beloit, Janesville, and Orfordville are among Rock County communities celebrating National Night Out Tuesday night.

Beloit's longstanding tradition includes block parties throughout the city with visits from city officials.

Janesville's participation evolves around community activities at the police department from 5pm to 8pm. New this year in Janesville is a simulator that demostrates how hard it is to text and drive safely.

This is the third year for the Rock County Sheriff's Office to participate. They're holding their celebration in Orfordville's Purdy Park from 5pm to 9pm this year. The SWAT Team will handle one of the demonstrations.
