n Cougars win their own invite—Kristi Crandall and the Janesville Craig girls soccer team enjoyed a little home cooking over the weekend.

The Cougars won three straight games in capturing the two-day Craig Invitational title.

Crandall scored all three goals in a 3-1 win over Green Bay East on Friday night, while Chelsea Sheedy had three goals in Craig’s two wins Saturday over Elkhorn and Tomah.

“We made some changes defensively, and the girls are starting to figure it out,” Craig coach Bill McCabe said.

“Friday night the conditions were brutal, but we stepped it up, especially Kristi, and played through it. It’s always nice to win your own tournament.”
