Two arrested in Janesville drug bust
JANESVILLE Three small children were removed from an east-side Janesville apartment Saturday after a drug bust.
At 10 p.m. Saturday, the Janesville Street Crimes Units executed a search warrant at 1811 Green Forest Run, No. 107.
The search resulted in the seizure of 2 ounces of marijuana, $1,157 and a car that allegedly was used to transport the drugs.
Three children were removed from the home and turned over to other family members.
Arrested were Debra A. Ames, 27, on charges of manufacture and delivery of marijuana, maintaining a drug trafficking vehicle, party to the crime of manufacture and delivery of marijuana and obstructing an officer.
Also arrested was Lashun O. Coleman, 24, on charges of manufacture and delivery of marijuana, two counts; party to the crime of manufacture and delivery of marijuana, and a probation violation.
Both Ames and Coleman were listed as residents of the apartment.
The search warrant was the result of several weeks of investigation into illegal drug sales at the apartment.
