Chlamydia cases on the rise in Rock County
WCLO's Stan Stricker reports on the concern at the Rock County Health Department over a dramatic increase in the number of cases
Rock County Health Department Nursing Director Janet Zoellner says 2010 saw a 32% increase in the number of Chlamydia cases. Zoellner calls that a big number.
Zoellner says one reason could be better screening practices. A key concern for Chlamydia, is a patient may not show symptoms for years, and continue to infect others.
The Health Department is stepping up education efforts.
