Janesville police dogs sniff lockers at Franklin Middle School
JANESVILLE Janesville police dogs sniffed student lockers at Franklin Middle School on Friday morning.
Students were locked in their classrooms, but classes continued as usual during the 23-minute search, Sheryl Miller, district spokeswoman, said.
The dogs “hit” on 23 lockers, but subsequent searches turned up nothing, Miller said.
Dog searches at Marshall and Edison middle schools April 2 yielded similar results.
All three middle schools have undergone dog searches twice this school year. The high schools were last swept last fall.
