Janesville Parker earned its first girls soccer victory of the season Thursday.

Sam Witek scored two goals to lead the Vikings to a 3-2 nonconference victory at Lodi.

Witek scored off an assist from Brianna Michios in the second half to break the 2-2 halftime tie.

“It was a very physical game,” said Parker coach Amy Wargowsky. “I’m happy we were putting things together. Our defense is working together as a team.

Besides Witek’s two goals, senior Katie Godding scored an unassisted goal in the first half to put the Vikings ahead, 2-0. Godding dribbled around three Lodi defenders before putting the shot in the goal.

Katie Conroy added an assist, and Emily Richardson made her first start in goal and recorded 14 saves.
