Prison ordered in UW-Whitewater robbery
ELKHORN Chase Burns of Ringle, near Wausau, was sentenced to 18 months in prison after pleading guilty to robbery with use of force on accusations that he and another man robbed and beat two UW-Whitewater students.
Burns, 28, will serve three years of extended supervision after he gets out of prison. The incident happened in April 2010 and a cell phone was taken. Officials say the phone was recovered in La Crosse, and investigators used calls Burns and his accomplice, Spencer Wnuk, 21, Stevens Point, made to track them down.
Wnuk is scheduled for sentencing May 17 in Walworth County court.
