— Riverside and Blackhawk golf courses will celebrate new management under KemperSports with a grand reopening, including a ribbon cutting ceremony at 11:30 a.m. Friday, April 8.

The brief ceremony will take place at Riverside Golf Course, 2100 Golf Course Road. Those who attend can view several new amenities, including new TVs in the food and beverage cafe, new carts that have fold-down windshields and new sand in the bunkers. For the first time, the Riverside Club House cafe has a full liquor license.

Those attending the event can participate in the Janesville City Council's Big Give Food Drive by bringing a non-perishable food item to the ceremony. Those golfing over the weekend can also donate food items.

For each item, residents will be entered into a drawing for a new 2011 TaylorMade driver. The drawing will be held Monday, April 11.

All donations will be given to the food pantries administered by ECHO and the Salvation Army.

For more information, call Riverside Golf Course at (608) 757-3080.
