— Board members for the Linn Joint 6 School District will have to find another way to fund repairs to Reek Elementary School.

Voters narrowly reject a referendum Tuesday that would have allowed the district to issue up to $3.9 million in general obligation bonds.

The funds would have been used for repairs to Reek Elementary School, which included projects to improve energy efficiency, update technology infrastructure and acquire furnishings, fixtures and equipment.

A school board member could not be reached for comment Tuesday night.
