Janesville Parker sweeps Fort Atkinson

Janesville Parker swept another nonconference dual track and field meet Tuesday.


The Viking boys used 12 individual victories to down Fort, 90-51.


Shawn Bohler led the Vikings with victories in the 300 intermediate hurdles (43.1) and the high jump (5-8).


“Shawn has been consistent last week and was consistent this week,” Parker coach Joe Dye said. “We’re getting better. We’re blessed to get in two early meets. We don’t always get these early meets in.”


The Vikings will open the Big Eight Conference dual meet season at Middleton.

Girls

So far, so good for Janesville Parker’s girls track and field team.


The Vikings improved to 2-0 on the season Tuesday with a 78-62 nonconference win over Fort Atkinson.


Paige Demos won three events to lead the Vikings, who also swept the top three places in pole vault.


“The meet was close throughout, but our kids finished strong,” Parker coach Dave Lehmann said. “We’re working hard, and I’m pleased with our results thus far.”


Parker will open the Big Eight Conference season Tuesday at Middleton.
