— A third person connected to an Aug. 31 bank robbery in Bloomfield Township was charged Friday in Walworth County Court.

Shelby L. Kaelber, 20, of Kenosha remained free on a $25,000 signature bond after being charged as an accomplice to armed robbery. A preliminary hearing is set for 3 p.m. Nov. 19 before Judge John Race.

Officials were aided by the gunman taking off his mask while leaving the bank, despite being well within the range of bank security cameras.

According to the criminal complaint:

Kaelber is accused of buying the BB gun used to rob the First Bank Center in Bloomfield Township. She later surrendered the gun to police.

Kaelber told investigators she bought the gun with money given to her by co-defendant David Allen, 23, of Kenosha. Kaelber was in the getaway car driven by Allen. No one was injured.

The robber was identified as Jeremiah Ward, 23, of Genoa City.

Ward reportedly gave Allen $2,000 of the $8,415 he had taken from the bank, according to the complaint.

Ward is charged with armed robbery as a habitual offender and being a felon in possession of a firearm. Allen is charged with being an accomplice to armed robbery.

Both men waived their preliminary hearings Friday.
