It was dedication night Friday for Walworth Big Foot High School’s new football and soccer scoreboard, and the Chiefs wasted no time putting it to good use.


Big Foot, the defending WIAA Division 4 state champion, rolled to a 56-8 victory over Clinton for the Chiefs’ third consecutive win this season and 25th straight over five seasons in the Rock Valley Conference.


The $35,000 Daktronics scoreboard, was 100 percent donated by funds from the local youth football program, the Big Foot Wolves, and the Big Foot Lions Club.


Big Foot (3-2, 3-0) broke in the scoreboard with a 28-point first quarter as the Chiefs maintained their one-game lead in the Rock Valley South.


Kenneth Walker rushed twice for 92 yards, including a 67-yard TD, and Mason Dixon had 78 yards on eight carries, including TDs of 15, 26 and 23 yards.

n Brodhead-Juda 41, Parkview 15—Brodhead-Juda kept its momentum in high gear to overpower Rock Valley South rival Orfordville Parkview with 334-yard ground game.


Jardon Harding rushed eight times for 91 yards, and Gavin Garrett had 88 yards on seven carries for the Cardinals (2-1 in the conference, 3-2 overall). Parkview (3-2, 1-2) lost its second straight game.


Jesse Delorme got Brodhead-Juda rolling on a 47-yard touchdown run with 2:55 left in the first quarter.


Parkview broke through on Kyle Woodworth’s 70-yard touchdown pass to Tim Heller in the final minute of the first half.

Caleb Pedersen added scoring runs of 2 and 3 yards as the Panthers went to 2-1 in the league and 4-1 overall. Turner rushed for 307 yards.


Zach Sherrod led the Trojans (0-3, 0-5) with 109 yards rushing on 16 carries.

n McFarland 37, Whitewater 0—Jordan Smith gained 138 yards on 16 carries and notched touchdown runs of 36 and 13 yards to pace the visiting Spartans (4-2, 2-1) over the Whippets (1-4, 1-2) in the Rock Valley North.


McFarland quarterback Tyler Wedel threw a 31-yard touchdown pass to Smith and a 14-yard TD pass to Jacob Peeters. Wedel added a seven-yard TD run and kicked all the Spartans’ extra points, plus a 27-yard field goal.

Nate Keller carried 16 times for 312 yards to lead the defending co-champion Eagles, who are No. 4 AP state ratings for medium-sized schools. The 5-11, 162-pound junior opened the scoring with a 5-yard touchdown run and also scored on 8 and 86-yard runs.
