WCLO's Stan Stricker reports on decision by Republican Jeff Klett

RSS

A recount of the 45th Assembly District Republican Primary is being planned.

Jeff Klett lost to Amy Loudenbeck by a narrow margin of 19 votes. Klett says he felt he owed it to his supporters to file petition papers with the Government Accountability Board asking for a recount. Loudenbeck says she respects Klett's decision, and adds it shows how much each vote counts.

The Rock County Clerk has scheduled the recount for 9:00 a.m. Thursday morning.
