Jets fall in Showcase finale

— The Janesville Jets suffered their first loss of the season Saturday.

Michael Hill scored two goals and Rasmus Tironen stopped 20 shots to lead the Topeka RoadRunners to a 3-1 win over Janesville in the final game of the NAHL Showcase Tournament.

The Jets (5-1) tied the game at 1-1 at 6:26 of the second period on Ross Mauermann’s goal, but Bill Coole gave the RoadRunners the lead for good at 10:33 of the second.

Janesville, which finished 3-1 in the tournament, hosts Coulee Region in a two-game series Friday and Saturday at the Janesville Ice Skating Center.
