Madison East took advantage of Janesville Craig’s missed opportunities to slip past the visiting Cougars, 2-0, Thursday night in Big Eight boys soccer at Breese Stevens Field.

“We were taking it ’em in the first 10 minutes,” Craig coach Charles Friedrich said. “We had three straight corner kicks but couldn’t get it into the net.”

East improved to 8-2 for the season, while Craig fell to 1-5 in the Big Eight and 4-8 overall.

Craig plays at Menomonee Falls at 3 p.m. Saturday.
