Janesville Jets improve to 4-0 behind Jacobson

— The Janesville Jets continue to fly high.

Connor McBride’s unassisted goal at 14:14 of the third period rallied the Jets to a 3-2 win over the Alaska Avalanche on Thursday in Janesville’s second game of the NAHL Showcase Tournament.

Janesville improved to 4-0 on the season and sits atop the NAHL North Division with eight points.

Alaska led 2-1 after two periods, but Janesville battled back behind third-period goals from Larkin Jacobson and McBride. Jacobson tied the game at 2-2 at 4:03 of the third on an assist from Derek Jacobson.

David Jacobson, a 2009 Janesville Parker graduate, stopped 28 shots in goal to pick up his fourth win of the season.

Janesville plays the Austin Bruins in its third game of the tournament at 10:15 this morning.
