— The Downtown Development Alliance is sponsoring another fall Downtown Pride Day on Friday.

Alliance spokesperson, Renee Dommershausen, says volunteers should meet at eight o'clock Friday morning behind the Olde Towne Mall for coffee, donuts, and assignments.

Target areas for clean-up include parks, planters, walkways, terraces, parking lots, and sidewalks. One of the tougher assignments will be to dig out some tree stumps.

New volunteers will receive "Downtown Pride Day" T-shirts and veteran volunteers are encouraged to wear their T-shirts from last spring.

Janesville firefighters will serve a picnic lunch at noon at Firemen's Park. Lunch is free for volunteers.
