-- SCOTT T. FORRETT, 46, of South Beloit, Ill., at 3:49 p.m. Sunday at the Rock County Sheriff’s Office, on a charge of failure to report to jail. He was supposed to turn himself in on Saturday.
-- BURGLARY to a residence, reported Thursday in the 6600 block of West St. Lawrence Avenue in Newark Township. Taken was a 46-inch HDTV valued at $1,600.
-- BURGLARY to a shed on West Sunny Lane in Rock Township, reported Aug. 31. Taken were a grass trimmer and a leaf blower.
-- MARIJUANA FOUND at 1:24 p.m. Tuesday near the Home Depot, 3200 Deerfield Drive, Janesville. An Oshkosh man discovered a box of green, leafy material and called police, who determined it was marijuana, but of the low-quality “ditch weed” variety that grows wild. Officers also discovered some plants growing in the area, apparently not cultivated. Officers disposed of it.

-- BENJAMIN G. BARRY, 23, of Stoughton, at 10:30 a.m. Saturday on Tolles Road north of Bullard Road in Porter Township. Also cited for speeding.
-- JONNA L. BIER, 24, of 1514 Hawthorne Ave., Janesville, at 2:37 a.m. Aug. 28 on Highway 14 just north of County A in Harmony Township.
-- EMMA M. STOWE, 40, of 102 Homestead Road, Milton, at 12:42 a.m. Sunday on Highway 59 just east of Vincent Road in Milton Township. Also cited for unsafe lane deviation.
-- TERRI L. TURNER, 44, of 1006 21st St. No. 55, Brodhead, at 2:22 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Highway 11 and Old Highway 11 in Plymouth Township. Also cited for unsafe lane deviation.
-- HERMAN F. EICHOLZ, 22, of 2532 W. Grand Ave., Beloit, at 4:01 p.m. Sept. 1 on Liberty Lane at McKinney Avenue in Beloit Township. Also cited for endangering safety by reckless driving and operating while suspended.
-- NATHAN F. WHITNEY, 43, of 1766 Spruce Street, Beloit, at 3:39 a.m. Saturday on Creek Road south of Philhower Road in Turtle Township. It was listed as his second intoxicated-driving arrest.
-- STEVEN R. HILL, 50, of 502 Linn St. Apt. C, Janesville, at 12:19 a.m. Friday on County D south of Cemetery Road in Rock Township. Also cited for speeding and operating after revocation. It was listed as his fifth intoxicated-driving arrest.
-- CENTERWAY AT FRANKLIN STREET, JANESVILLE, at 9:10 a.m. Tuesday. A car driven by Robert O. Smith, 96, of Glen Ellyn, Ill., hit the rear of a car stopped in traffic, driven by Michael J. Charnecki, 45, of 2300 Rockport Road, Janesville. Smith then backed up, hitting a car approaching from the rear, driven by Wanda M. Watkins, 66, of 601 Meadow Park Drive, Clinton. Smith’s car then turned onto Franklin Street and struck the retaining wall of the railroad overpass. Smith appeared disoriented and said he could not remember the second collision or hitting the wall, police said. Watkins and a passenger in Smith’s car, Walpurga Lund, 83, of 1600 Dayton Drive, Janesville, were treated and released at Mercy Hospital. Smith was cited for inattentive driving, unsafe backing and failure to have vehicle liability insurance.
