Andy Holmes likes what he saw Tuesday night from his Janesville Parker High School boys soccer team despite a 4-2 loss to Sun Prairie.

“We actually played really well,” Holmes said. “In the second half, we won a few balls that put us over the edge.”

The Vikings (2-5, 0-3 Big Eight) trailed 4-0 at halftime, but forward Edison Davila scored twice for Parker in the second half.

“We came out strong in the second half, and I feel we have some momentum to carry forward,” Holmes said.

The Vikings host Beloit Memorial at 7 p.m. Thursday.
