-- LARRY C. MACLIN, 25, of 1521 Mineral Point Ave., Janesville, at 4:15 p.m. Thursday at 2730 W. Walnut St., Janesville, on a charge of being a party to the crime of burglary.

-- BURGLARY to Rock Prairie Presbyterian Church, 8605 E. County A in Johnstown Township, reported Aug. 29. Taken were two laptop computers.


-- ESCAPE ATTEMPT at the Rock County Juvenile Detention Center, 210 E. Highway 14, Janesville, at 10:38 a.m. Thursday. A 16-year-old was reported not under control of center workers and committing vandalism. The teen refused a deputy’s orders, so he was pepper-sprayed and returned to his cell, according to a report. The teen was referred to juvenile authorities on charges of disorderly conduct and resisting an officer.


Accidents


-- CENTERWAY AT CORNELIA STREET, JANESVILLE, at 6:20 p.m. Aug. 28. A car driven by Cynthia A. Stanbrough, 63, of 733 E. Centerway No. 6, Janesville, was stopped on Centerway, waiting for traffic to clear so she could turn onto Cornelia, when a car driven by Jordan N. Oren, 22, of 6307 W. Pomeroy Road, Edgerton, struck Stanbrough’s car in the rear. Stanbrough was treated and released at Mercy Hospital.


-- COURT AND PEARL STREETS, JANESVILLE, at 5:59 p.m. Tuesday. Kaliyah A. Wheeler, 5, of 442 N. Pine St., Janesville, tried to cross Court Street in a non-motorized scooter. Witnesses said the traffic light was red. Latoya S. Franklin-Cooper, 28, of 2651 Holiday Drive, Janesville, was driving down Court Street in a sport utility vehicle that struck Wheeler. Wheeler suffered cuts to her face, elbow and ankle, She was transported for medical treatment. Franklin-Cooper was cited for operating after revocation, causing injury.


-- ROCKPORT ROAD AT PEARL STREET, JANESVILLE, at 1:39 p.m. Aug. 30. Cars driven by Pablo Hernandez Gonzalez, 58, of 2310 Hawaii Drive No. 11, Janesville, and Kathleen M. Vittone, 63, of 2347 S. Chatham St., Janesville, collided in the intersection. Vittone was cited for failure to yield the right of way. She was treated and released at Mercy Hospital. A passenger in Gonzalez’ car, Giancarlo Valerdi, 5, of 2323 Harvard Drive No. 40, Janesville, also was transported for medical treatment.


-- HIGHWAY 213 SOUTH OF LUTHER VALLEY ROAD, at 7:45 a.m. Wednesday. An SUV driven by Marilyn A. Lyga, 67, of 6241 S. Ivy Lane, Beloit, crossed the centerline, went out of control and into the ditch, rolling over and coming to rest on the highway. Lyga was cited for operating left of center. She was transported for medical treatment.
