— Host Oconomowoc’s girls cross country was dominant at its own Nature Hill Challenge meet on Thursday.

Janesville Parker was the best of the rest.

Oconomowoc scored 15 points to win easily, while Parker was next with 72 points.

University Lake’s Molly Seidel cruised to the individual victory on the 4-kilometer course, timing in a 14 mintes, 55 seconds—more than a minute ahead of second-place Mandy Prom (16:04) of Oconomowoc.

The Vikings were led by Brook King in 11th (17:34), Ashley King in 12th (17:37), Miranda Slaback in 17th, Jenna Cadey in 19th and Sadie Johnson in 24th.

“They ran as a group pretty well,” said Parker coach Joe LaChance. “We just have to move (the pack) up a little bit.

“It was a good meet for us. Most of these teams we hadn’t seen before.”

The Vikings next compete at the Madison West Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 11.
