Lakeside downs Janesville Craig volleyball
JANESVILLE Lakeside Lutheran handed host Janesville Craig a 3-1 defeat in nonconference girls volleyball here Tuesday.
The Warriors prevailed with 25-23, 25-17, 25-16 wins in the first, third and fourth games. Craig won Game 2, 25-20.
“It was a great match,” Craig coach Blake Budrow said. “We have improved a lot since our tournament. Katie Villa did a great job with 20 assists and Erica Mortensen did a good job on defense.’’
Amber Bovenmyer had 12 kills and Emma Becher added 14 assists for Craig.
Craig plays at Verona at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
