The UW-Rock County men’s soccer team wrapped up the regular season in impressive fashion Thursday afternoon.

The Rattlers blanked UW-Waukesha County, 3-0, to finish 5-4-1 overall and 4-3 in the Wisconsin Collegiate Conference. Rock County will wait to find out who it will host in a first-round WCC playoff game on Oct. 11.

“We kept the pressure on the whole game,” Rock County coach Grant McNall said. “The wind was in our face and real strong the first half, but we still managed to keep them off the scoreboard.

“The last 15 minutes of play we really dominated, including Luke Smith’s second goal of the season.”

Janesville Craig High School graduates Tanner Harrie and Grant Jahns also scored for the Rattlers.

The Rattlers designated the game as Cancer Awareness Night and raised over $200 for cancer research.
