Milton High’s girls tennis team swept all four singles matches to earn a 4-3 nonconference win over Janesville Craig on Thursday.

The Cougars swept in doubles play but lost for the fifth time this season by one match.

“This was a nice tune-up for the (Big Eight) conference meet tomorrow,” Craig High coach Bill Peyer said. “There were some close matches that could’ve gone either way.”

Marianne Moser, Becca Kessler and Elizabeth Murphy won singles matches for the Red Hawks.

Maggie Bolton and Taylor Storbakken improved to 16-6 after winning at No. 1 doubles, while Ciarra Sroda and Minaliza Shahlapour upped their record to 15-4 at No. 2 doubles. The Cougars’ doubles team of Devon Timblin and Brianna Lane also won.
