Snappers' losing streak hits six

— The Beloit Snappers suffered their sixth straight loss in dropping a 6-1 decision to the host Quad Cities River Bandits in Midwest League baseball Wednesday.

The Snappers were held to four hits. Beloit scored its lone run on Angel Morales’ triple and Michael Gonzales’ RBI groundout in the fifth inning.

Beloit starter Edgar Ibarra (3-4) took the loss, allowing four runs on six hits through the first four innings. Quad Cities’ starter Scott Schneider (3-1) held the Snappers to one run on one hit through five innings.
