Snappers give up 10 runs in one inning in loss

— Quad Cities’ incredible 10-run inning sent the visiting Beloit Snappers to their fifth straight loss in Midwest League baseball Tuesday.

The Snappers held a 7-3 lead when the River Bandits scored 10 runs in the sixth en route to a 13-7 victory.


Highlights of the River Bandits’ 10-run assault included a two-run homer, a two-run triple, a two-run error, a run-scoring wild pitch, three RBI singles and three walks. The damage was off Snappers starter B.J. Hermsen and relievers Matthew Tone and Dakota Watts.


Quad Cities pounded out 12 hits. The Snappers had 11 hits, including solo and three-run homers from Steven Liddle and Reggie Williams, respectively.
