Parker soccer rally falls short

— Janesville Parker High School played a spirited second half but lost to Jefferson, 4-3, in nonconference girls soccer Tuesday at Jefferson.

"We just ran out of time," Parker coach Amy Wargowsky said. "It was a physical game, and not many calls were made.''


Jefferson held a 3-0 lead before Parker's Brianna Michios cut the deficit to 3-1 at 49:37. Jefferson scored to make it 4-1 before Jasmine Bianes and Sam Witek scored at 64:27 and 73:00 for the final margin.


The Vikings host Lodi on Friday to conclude the regular season.
