Janesville Lacrosse Club shuts out LaFollette

— The Janesville Lacrosse Club overcame slow start to roll past LaFollette, 11-0, at Optmist Park on Monday.

Janesville led 1-0 after the first period on a Sean MacDougall goal. The lead was 4-0 at halftime after goals from Jordan Gould, Jordan Dean and Trent Krueger.

Darien St. Michael scored four goals in the second half, and Aaron Turk, Cody Jenson and Nick Krueger added a goal each for Janesville (4-7 in the Madison Area Lacrosse Association White Division, 4-9 overall).

Mitch Miller, Eric Monroe, Turk and MacDougall each had assists for Janesville.

Janesville goalie Ryan Johnson was rarely tested and had five saves.

The LaFollette junior varsity defeated the Janesville, 4-2.

Janesville concludes its regular season with a 5 p.m. game at Waunakee on Thursday.
