Timber Rattlers rally past Beloit Snappers

— A three-game winning streak came to an end Sunday afternoon for the Beloit Snappers.

The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers scored three runs in the bottom of the eighth inning en route to a 3-1 Midwest League win over the Snappers.


Beloit took a 1-0 lead with an unearned run in the fourth, but reliever Ben Tootle surrendered three runs in the eighth in blowing his first save opportunity of the season.


Starter Michael Tonkin pitched well for Beloit, allowing no runs on three hits over seven innings.


Beloit is off today before beginning an eight-game home-


stand at Pohlman Field. The Snappers play Kane County in a doubleheader Tuesday, with the first game scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
